The Message Part D

DA. Rev 21:1-23 - And I saw a new heaven and a new earth...for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.

DB. A curious thought: Why will Abraham be the father of many nations when we have and will have one Father in heaven [Matt 23:9]? Abraham will be the father of many nations because he is a figure representing Christ.

DC. Nations and kingdoms are another representation of lords and kings respectively [Matt 25:32, 1 Pet 2:9]. Eventually, we as nations (lords) and kingdoms (kings) of this world will be angels or nations (lords) and kingdoms (kings) of the Lord on the last day:

DD. Eph 2:5 - Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved); Luke 20:36 - Neither can they die any more: for they are equal unto the angels; and are the children of God, being the children of the resurrection;

DE. Rev 11:15 - And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.

DF. That is, the Lord is the Father of many nations and kingdoms. He is the one Father of all [Eph 4:6]. Abraham is one of His names.

DG. Based on DC, we can discern that the nations referenced in Luke 21:10 [...nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom] do not denote countries. The interpretation of this verse does not exclude physical warfare between individuals either.

DH. We can reestablish Elijah’s representation of Christ by reviewing Mark 9:12 and Col 1:20:

DI. Mark 9:12 - And he answered and told them, Elias verily cometh first, and restoreth all things…; Col 1:20 - And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself…

DJ. All things depict everyone that will be quickened on the last day [1 Tim 6:13 - Eph 2:5]. We know that all things are God’s [2 Cor 5:18, Eph 1:10] - they are His children. We also know that only Christ can restore or reconcile all things.

DK. Matt 16:18 - And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

DL. This scripture verse presents Peter as a figure that represents Christ. We know that Christ is the rock [1 Cor 10:4]. Christ laid the foundation of God’s building or the church [1 Cor 3:9-11 - ...for other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ].

DM. Christ prevailed over hell and death [Acts 2:27 - Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption; Rev 1:18 - ...I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death].

DN. Rom 7:9 - For I was alive without the law once: but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died.

DO. This scripture verse presents Paul as a figure that represents Christ. Every man from the moment he or she is conceived is under the law [Gal 4:4] and a transgressor [Rom 4:15].

DP. Because of the law, every man is dead - that is, dead in sin. [Eph 2:5 - Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ..; 1 Cor 15:56 - The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law].

DQ. We’ll become alive or quick on the last day [John 6:40, John 5:21]. Based on this, we can discern that angels are alive or quick [Rom 14:9]. They are not dead because they are not under the law [HC - HD].

DR. Furthermore, we know that the identity of every man starts from the womb. Therefore, we can discern that Rom 7:9 [DN] reveals the identity of Jesus Christ who was alive as spirit [Heb 1:4-5, Heb 1:13 - Heb 10:10-13] before He took on flesh.

DS. That is, He was alive as a spirit. He took on flesh and died in the flesh [1 Pet 3:18]. He became alive after His resurrection. We can see the illustration of this pattern in this scripture verse:

DT. Rev 1:18 - I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.

DU. 1 Cor 13:9-12 also presents Paul as a figure that testifies of Christ. John 6:38 - Col 1:15 reveals the identity of Jesus Christ who had an identity before He took on flesh:

DV. 1 Cor 13:9-10 - For we know in part, and we prophesy in part; but when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away;

DW. 1 Cor 13:11 - When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things;

DX. 1 Cor 13:12 - For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.

DY. Referencing 1 Cor 13:12: He will know as He was known means that He, in the flesh, will eventually know all things when He is restored to His spiritual form just as He did before He took on flesh.

DZ. 1 Cor 13:9-11 clearly illustrates this difference in knowledge between the earthy and heavenly. The one who knows in part and denoted as a child is Christ in His earthy image [1 Cor 15:47 - The first man is of the earth, earthy; the second man is the Lord from heaven].
